At the last Virginia Tech recruiting camp dozens of Hokies prospects went through multiple drills and one-on-one drills. All the Hokies' coaches were in attendance as well as some notable players such as Vinny Mihota, Chuck Clark, Andrew Motuapuaka as well as both Trey and Terrelle Edmunds.
Some important Hokie prospects that showed up to camp were four-star offensive tackle Josh Luggs, four-star safety Derek Pitts and four-star wide receiver Dredrick Snelson. All three did not participate in camp, but they appeared to be interactive among the players and chatting with coaches.
Luggs and Pitts were constantly hanging out around offensive coordinator Scot Loeffler and defensive secondary coach Torrian Gray.
After a brief conversation with Snelson, he says that he would be only minimally participating in camp because of an MCL injury. Although the coaches wanted him to participate in some of the drills, Snelson ended up leaving camp.
There's still time left in camp to talk to and receive updates on other recruits and I will update after camp has ended.

Camp ended a little later than usual, but the second half proved to be a little more productive. Jason and I both got to talk to a lot of prospects during the break period, including three-star offensive guard Seth Harrell, three-star quarterback Shon Mitchell, and three-star outside linebacker Dorian Etheridge.
There was a lot of positive talk about the Hokies recruiting camp and there were a lot of players who liked Virginia Tech and what they had to offer, for both athletics and academics.
The camp included at least 200 kids, but there were no offers as of right now. It was noted, however, that there were some prospects that have not had a lot of attention and one of those recruits is three-star wide receiver Dakota Hortzclaw. Although he is verbally committed to the University of Kentucky, Loeffler was going to take Hortzclaw and his family on a personal tour of the campus and the facilities, according to Hortzclaw's dad, who both Jason and me had a chance to talk to.
There were many who expressed their interest in the Hokies, but after camp there were no offers extended to any of the kids that attended the camp other than those who were already given offers.
