Those I've talked to thus far are very high on what the experience was like Saturday - no surprise, given the atmosphere and result in a 49-0 victory. Nothing imminent with any particular kid, but VT acquitted themselves well.

I haven't talked to either official visitor (MI DB Donovan Johnson and NJ DB Harrison Hand) just yet - they must be ducking me, haha - but my opinion coming into the visit was that the Hokies could cement themselves as the favorite for Johnson, and those around him indicate that pretty much happened. He's no done deal, but other schools will have their work cut out as long as VT continues to want him.

It was a bigger visit day for the 2018 kids, and they're naturally a little farther away from decisions, but one 2017 who seemed to have a great experience was NC DT Xach Gill. He wants to check out the in-state schools before really narrowing to a final list, but would like to make his college commitment around the end of his season. VT has put themselves in nice position there, as well.

More to come, with full articles rolling in the morning.
