LSU has 30 whole yards of "offense" approaching halftime. At least that's what the SEC people call that crap they roll out for some reason.

Wisconsin is up 3-0, but it would be worse if Whisky had a QB that made better decisions. That was a very ugly pick he threw in the end zone there.

Are the Hokies in the SEC? Why should any VT fan care about the LSU-Wisconsin game?

Some VT fans are also just football fans.

I don't expect you to understand.

If we can continue to weed all of these crap SEC teams out of the top of the polls, it won't take too long to get the rankings to where they should've been to start with.

I was glad to see Okalhoma get beat by Houston. UVA got caught in a Spider web. Richmond beat the boo hoos 37-20. I guess mendenhall will take away uniform numbers again tomorrow.

Good heavens...Mississippi State lost to South Alabama today?

1) Raise your hand if you've ever heard of South Alabama before.

2) How in the heck did the media NOT have Mississippi State ranked in the top 10 going into the game?

Arkansas beat LaTech by 1. Definitely time for them to be ranked.

Central Florida beat South Carolina by 38. THIRTY-EIGHT?

Ranked Florida leads UMass by 3 late in the 3rd qtr.

Haha...ESPN's scoreboard page says South Carolina, but when you click on the link, it's South Carolina State. I guess it's truncated? Is this day and age of high technology, they can't code a scoreboard page that shows entire team names? Haha...nice. Of course, they damn sure have room to run an entire column of advertisements down the right hand side of the page. They found room to code that.

Kentucky is also losing to Southern Miss, unless it's Kentucky State that's losing.

Now guys it is week one. What do we make of the #9 team in the sec taking #2 team in the country to the last second? Take care if our business and we'll be find. Can we hold the vol rushing attack to under 125 yes? Can we get our throw game going against them. Their kickoff team seemed smothering thurs. Night. Idk if appy ever made it across the 25.

I would be shocked if Tennessee didn't run for 200 or more. VT's defense will give Tennessee problems, but I don't think they can hold us in check all night long.

You managed 127 rushing yards against App St last week...but you'll run for over 200 against VT this week?

Is the magic o-line fairy making a visit to Knoxville on Tuesday? Oh wait....UTenn would rather lose the game outright against App St than to get off of page 1 of the playbook and show anything in advance to VT. I forgot about that.

Your basing your opinion off one game. I'm basing my opinion off the past 3 years with this offense and personnel.

You might be right and we all of a sudden can't ran the ball... Or I am right and we run the ball for more than our opponents typically surrender.

Last season, ran for significantly more yardage than OU, Bama, UF, NW, Mizzou, etc surrendered on average. I understand that was last year, but it's the same players and coaching staff. I'm betting on App St being an outlier.

You're basing your opinion off of your history running the ball (which is perfectly fine, and I really like and appreciate proven trends), but part of my opinion is also based on the last 25 years of Bud Foster preventing teams from running the ball (which is, again, a long time-proven trend).

Both trends are based in pretty solid facts.

The SEC is overrated and I'm glad to see them get exposed this past week. May it continue in Bristol next Saturday.

All I will say is I hope Alabama and Virginia Tech meet in the national championship game come January. They are only 2 teams that really matter to me.

I thought Alabama looked outstanding, as much as it pains me to say. I think one of your teams has a pretty good shot to get there for sure. Bama is the only legitimate national power the SEC has these days, but that one is no joke. They aren't playing around.

Nothing like cheating your way to the top and then throwing your asst. coaches under the bus to take the blame.....good ole Nicky Satan.

Speaking of throwing a coach under bus. Louisiana Lafayette fired their defensive coordinator after one game. Looks to me as if the Ragin Cajons should fire the Head Coach.

Alabama is outstanding and so is their coach. He is by far better than any UVA coach to date.

Go Vandy! But in this case, Go Hokies!
