I see that 4 coaches did not place VT in the Top 25:

Bret Bielema Arkansas
Tom Herman Houston
Chris Petersen Washington
Dan Mullen Miss. State

Herman must be mad that VT did not offer him a job last year. hope he 's a bust at Texas like Strong was. I liked him until he took Texas job.

I wonder if Bielema's ballot was cast before he knew who his bowl opponent would be?

Either way, he just fueled the locker room for the next month.

It was filled out before bowl game was announced. Story is he had VT 15th. same as he had VT last week. Alledgelly someone in sports information office screwed it up.

Many of the head coaches have someone in the athletic department fill it out for them for just that reason.
