1. I know it was posted over on The Key Play but I've confirmed that Devin Wilson, guard on the basketball team, is practicing at wide receiver.
No word if this is a long term thing or just an experiment or what but if you listened to a basketball broadcast the announcers always mentioned how good of football player he was in high school. And VT needs receivers.
2. Jalen Christian, a former highly touted receiver from Maryland, announced today he is transferring from South Carolina to be closer to home. This one is notable because 1) again, VT needs receivers and 2) Christian grew up in Christiansburg and his mom went to VT...so there is a connection. Don't know if Blacksburg is close enough to home but worth a look.
