Saturday was my first trip to VT...very impressed with fans, facilities, campus!
We were treated well as we try to do with visitors to Clemson.

Couple of negatives, and this is on your Admins...1) Putting our band in the nosebleed because UVA and other ACC schools did that to you is beneath a 1st class institution. Your band will not be treated this way when you return to CU. 2) The refusal of legal currency (our $2 bills) in concessions was ridiculous and PETTY. We were told the administration instructed them to refuse.

You have great coaching and a good young team, you are on the way up....Go Tigers!

A little Clemson tradition history:

The tradition of spending $2 bills – stamped with the famous tiger paw – is a tradition that dates back decades. Many Clemson fans know it’s expected, but you may not know the reason why.

George Bennett – Clemson Class of 1955, a former cheerleader, former athletic director at Furman University and Executive Director of IPTAY – told 7 News Rachelle Spence the story behind the tradition live on Daybreak Wednesday morning.

It started in 1977 as a protest against Georgia Tech after the school decided to end it’s football series with Clemson. “So I came up with the idea, let’s everybody take two dollar bills to show everybody how much money they’re missing,” said Bennett.

The tradition grew to include all Road Trips.

One other comment:

Why do ya'll let gamecock fans show up at your tailgates? They are a blight on college football ;)

protesting anything Georgia Tech does is a good idea. I almost put them in Louisville's class. rotten football program.

There used to be a Strip Club in Greensboro, that advertised itself, as Home of the Two Dollar Bill.

I think you have a point about the band. We should be flexible to reciprocate what other schools do. JMO.
