As the last couple paragraphs probably make clear, he's not a surefire take for the staff at this point (though with the Rivals Camp this weekend and the Hokies' camps in June, there's a chance he shows enough to solidify his offer by this time next month). Since VT isn't pushing that hard now - while Maryland and Minnesota, especially, are - the Hokies may not want to bother picking it back up by the time they know for sure if they want to take him.
