How bout dem Tigers!!!!

Very poor defense by Bama in 4th quarter.

The heisman voters need to revote. Watson should have won it. He is best player in the nation,. That guy from Louesyville should not have won.

Poor defense or was Clemson making them look that "poor"? Fans always want to blame their team for not doing something good and say they were playing poorly, but never give credit to the other team for executing. From the look of it, Clemson outplayed them when they needed to.

More like the Alabama secondary got exposed yet again, and their two inches and a cloud of dust offense couldn't do shit once Clemson realized Hurts was almost no threat whatsoever through the air.

Bama has short secondary players and Clemson finally figured out they could throw lob passes all day long and there was nothing Bama could do about it. Plus, the Bama Dline got a little gassed from being on the field for 100 plays so Watson got more and more time as the game went along. Combine those two factors and the Bama D was in big, big trouble in the 4th qtr. If they would've played a 5th qtr, it would've gotten even uglier. When Watson gets in a rhythm, he's about as good as you'll ever see on the college level.

Anyway, big congrats to Clemson for representing on the biggest stage, kudos to Bama for proving they actually belonged in the game (unlike certain other pretenders who were "selected" as national championship contenders), and congrats to the entire ACC for whipping the rest of the country's asses this bowl season. Well, except for UNC, of course, who stunk to high heaven in their embarrassing bowl "performance".

I wasn't surprised that Clemson won (actually...I was expecting it), but I was a little surprised that they lost the 1st half that badly and then dominated the 2nd half like that. There were several teams that beat Clemson in the 2nd half this season, VT included.

I was running the score clock for our High School Monday so I missed most of the first quarter. Was it ever explained why Reuben Fosters hit to Watson's head was not targeting? Replay seems to show he took an intended shot at his head and neck area.

I don't remember a Reuben / Watson head shot in the 1st half, but I know the Mike Williams no-flag head shot was explained after the following commercial break (Williams didn't qualify as being defenseless and there wasn't contact using the crown of the helmet, so no flag).
