I must not have been paying attention, but how did UVA all of a sudden get relevant in football? They still have to play Notre Dame but with solid wins over BC and FSU, I'm looking at their schedule and seeing that the UVA-VT game could be meaningless.
Looking at their recruiting the last two years, they're starting to pull four-star athletes from all over the map. They obviously don't ascribe to the old "You have to win Virginia" line. Sitting in the Top 25 doesn't hurt their haul this year, where they have three four-star commits, and we have none.
Fuente has had longer to build a solid base than Bronco, and the current situation sure doesn't look like we have a leg up on our Wahoo brothers at the moment.
Am I missing a sliver lining somewhere?
