Guys, I just got off the phone with Oxford (Ala.) three-star linebacker KJ Britt, who got an offer today from VT. Talk about a busy week, between today and yesterday, he also got offers from Ole Miss and Mississippi State today and Tennessee, Memphis and Army yesterday.

Britt said he had talked to coach Justin Fuente a few times when he was at Memphis, so there's a prior connection. Britt also said that when Fuente went to VT, he expected an offer would come from the Hokies. Britt said he doesn't know a lot about the Hokies right now, but knows they have a good history and tradition.

Today was the first time Britt said he's spoken to assistant coach Holmon Wiggins, though, who made the offer. It was a different assistant at Memphis who had offered before. Britt told me that "He sounds like a pretty laid back coach" and that he's looking forward to getting to know him and VT more. Wiggins had messaged Britt through Twitter and had called Britt's coach to ask about his grades, character and other aspects.

Britt told me the Mississippi State offer was a complete surprise since he hadn't heard from the Bulldogs at all prior to today. But he's talked quite a bit with Ole Miss and you can tell there's definitely a lot of interest there.

This has all happened so quickly for Britt, it's tough to get a read on him. He did tell me that the SEC offers, as well as Virginia Tech and Iowa State had his attention the most. Britt told me he's "Going by what I feel" with the Cyclones.

Tomorrow, Britt will be visiting Auburn and on March 5, he'll be at Tennessee, but those are the only visits set. He will be participating in the Rivals Camp Series presented by Under Armour April 2 in Atlanta, which I will be in attendance for.
