Guys, I spoke just a few minutes ago with Archbishop Wood Catholic (Pa.) 2017 four-star wide receiver Mark Webb. VT made an offer to him last week, his 13th offer.
Webb also has offers from Penn State, Pittsburgh and West Virginia among others. Still pretty early in this case, as he said he hasn't taken any visits anywhere yet. Some of the schools Webb said he's interested in seeing are UNC, Pitt, Syracuse, Ohio State, Penn State, West Virginia and VT.
With the Hokies, assistant coach Holmon Wiggins made the offer. Webb said they haven't talked a lot, but that he got a good feel from when they have talked. Webb said, "He’s someone I can relate to, get to know better and learn from in the future." So a good start. And Webb is also aware of the success on offense Justin Fuente has has as well.
Webb said he's planning to run outdoor track this spring. But aside from that, he'll be taking plenty of visits. He said he already plans to attend the Rivals Camp Series stop in New Jersey in April.
