Guys, as you saw on my list of visitors on Saturday and from the reports of our friend Adam Friedman, Rivals100 cornerback Jermani Brown visited VT Saturday. Brown just moved in January to Midlothian (Va.) from Calabasas, Calif. He's also been committed to Arizona State since November.

First off, I asked Brown why he and his family moved. He told me that his mom got a job as the vice president of a hospital in Richmond. He told me the move has been tough, but he feels like he's adjusting well. He's originally from Missouri, but spent the past 10 years in California. He doesn't really remember anything about Missouri. Brown had never been to Virginia before he made the move and didn't get to see it before they moved.

Brown told me he remains committed to Arizona State and has stayed in touch with the staff there. They've told him they'll be visiting at the first chance they get, including for one of his games.

That said, Brown is still open. He visited Virginia a few weeks ago and on Saturday, made his first trip to VT. He told me the trip started off "slow" at first, but he liked watching practice. The one thing that really stuck with him is assistant coach Brian Mitchell. Brown didn't have a ton to say about the visit, but really seemed to like Mitchell and loves that he played in the NFL. He told me he wants to pick his brain some more and talk more football, so that's a huge plus for the Hokies.

The UVA visit seems to also have gone well. Brown said he likes Bronco Mendenhall and the staff and likes what they're about. As Brown gets more adjusted to the east coast, it seems like he's opening up to a few more schools. He told me he wants to get to West Virginia soon. And he's not sure if he'll attend the Charlotte stop April 17 of the Rivals Camp Series presented by Under Armour. Brown said he might visit Nebraska April 16 for the spring game there.

My guess is that Arizona State commitment doesn't stick. But outside of that, it's tough to tell where he's leaning, as this is like a whole new experience on this side of the country for him.
