Hokie Haven: What is your reaction to the offer from Virginia Tech?
"It was honestly a blessing. I got the call after coming from a work out and when I got the news, it put a smile on my face (just) knowing that I'm making my mother proud to know I'm one of the first to ever do anything like this in my family. My reaction to receiving a full ride scholarship to Virginia Tech was one of overwhelming joy and gratitude. I felt so fortunate to have this amazing opportunity, and I was so thankful for all the hard work and dedication that had gone into earning this scholarship. It was a dream come true."
