Obviously guys leave the hometown school largely because they aren't getting playing time (i.e. aren't good enough), but another quality upperclassman DB could have made a huge difference last year, to say the least. Given Gervin's career trajectory so far - and his relatively flaky nature as a recruit - I certainly wouldn't say the staff necessarily made the wrong decision on him.
