VT wasn't in the mix for quite some time, but North Carolina was the other finalist:

It'll be intriguing to see if this takes a little bit of bloom of the Tar Heels' rose in the eyes of recruits, or makes it more difficult for the Hokies to land a head-to-head running back target with UNC's need to pursue options after Pryor.

Fortunately, TreVeyon Henderson didn't have North Carolina in his top 15 back in January, so UNC might not be able to become a threat for VT's top target (and Henderson did include Ohio State in that top group, while the Bucks are now likely out of it for him). There are other threats for the top in-state back, of course - and I wouldn't call VT the favorite by any stretch, though they're in the hunt - but every little bit is going to help there.
