Along with renewed interest in the likes of Dazz Newsome (though VT seems to be looking up at North Carolina for the time being there) and Keontae Jenkins, it's clear that the coaching staff has re-evaluated their need at that position. It does not sound like diminishing confidence in any specific player already on the board is behind the change - just not enough lines in the water (which I've been pointing out in the hotboards since the end of the season, so it's been there for a little while).
