Sometime today we expect four-star defensive tackle Breyon Gaddy of Virginia Beach (Va.) Bishop Sullivan to release a top five. According to a contact familiar with his recruiting, we do expect Virginia Tech to make the cut.
Tennessee has held a lead for him and I know some folks have asked about Clemson. Based on what we're hearing, Clemson isn't likely to take a defensive tackle in this recruiting cycle. And Tennessee is obviously courting a number of other prospects at the position as well.
In other words, VT has some catching up to do, but nevertheless this is a highly regarded in-state prospect we are still tracking at this time. If there is no decision between now and Labor Day and VT remains in his top five, to belabor the obvious, it sets up the Hokies to get a fall/winter official visit.
