Sorry to intrude on your board, so I'll keep it brief.

A group of buddies is coming to town for a football weekend next month. I'm a Domer, but they're UNC fans. We usually do a guys trip every fall and will have 6 or 7 this year.

We're planning on getting in early and spending a couple days before the game. We've got a cabin near Willis.

Hiking is a must. Any ideas or recs for a great 2nd activity? In years past, we've done rafting, golf and fly fishing.

We're struggling to find something amazing or unique that we all agree on. Paintball is the reluctant front runner right now.

Suggestions???

From Blacksburg you're not far from the Appalachian Trail, but a shorter 2 mile up-hill hike and a good photo opp is the Cascades Park and Falls about 35 minutes west of Blacksburg on Rt 460. Fly fishing is probably good (not a fisherman) on The New River a few minutes south of BBurg. In some places it's wide and you can wade across it.

Willis is in Floyd County if u like bluegrass music they play it on the streets at the country store downtown Floyd on Friday nights. Beside the country store is a bar called Dogtown road house which usually has live music on Friday Sat nights. Mabry mill on the blue ridge parkway is pretty cool. There is hiking trails at a lot of the overlooks along the parkway. There is the huckleberry trail in Christiansburg and BLACKSBURG that's great for bike riding.

So many lil communities in Giles Co I cannot keep em straight. Glad their football team is coming to Floyd tonight. GO BUFFS!!!
