Hey guys! So Kelly and I made it to practice today and there are a few noteworthy points that were picked up:
-- Sophomore Mook Reynolds is practicing at both nickel and safety. According to Reynolds, the goal is to have him play at safety once senior Chuck Clark.
-- When asked about the quarterback situation, head coach Justin Fuente is staying pretty quiet about. Other offensive players that were at pre-practice interviews were redshirt sophomore Chris Durkin and redshirt junior Bucky Hodges, noted that the competition was pretty even, but it was too early to tell who would take the No. 1 spot.
-- According to redshirt sophomore Travon McMillian, sophomore Shai McKenzie is the most eager to get back out there, as well as in better shape than he was before.
-- All the players emphasized how practice in general is a lot faster paced than last year's spring practice.
There will be more to come from Kelly and I about today's practice here soon. Check out our stories for more updates on Hokie football!
