make an immediate impact in Blacksburg. Lawson's one of those QBs best
served with a year or two on the bench so he can refine his skills

Actually, this doesn't sound good... accuracy issues are hard enough to fix WITH the right coaches, and I doubt VT has the coaches to do it. I hope I'm wrong, but the regression of Logan Thomas over his career (which he is still fighting to overcome in the NFL) has me worried.

I disagree. LT's regression was directly tied to the protection he got and inexperience of the WRs and RBs, and the increased dependency on hanging the running game on LT's shoulders. A banged up kid isn't as accurate as a healthy kid.

I'll always say his first season starting for VT should be the season he should be judged on. And LT is an elite athlete just to make a pro team. I don't care if he never stars.

The long passes I seen Lawson throw in the game were very accurate

Based on what few videos I've seen:


I'd say Ford throws as good a deep ball as Lawson Brewer has a better short game I think Durkin and Lawson seem to have a similar mix of decent running and short game Motley and Lawson look similar in scrambles and designed runs.
It will be very interesting to see how they all start to stack up in the Spring and Fall.

Can't wait until April to get settled in to my quarterbacking recliner and decide which one I want to start.
