Rutgers fan..thinking of heading to Blacksburg in September

Hey old conference friends!

Looking for some help/advice on visiting for the RU football game in September.

hotels in the area are currently 400+ a night, are these prices normal for game weekends? Any advice to find more budget friendly places to stay?

Was told we could stay in Roanoke, but we’d have to drive 45 minutes to campus. We’d prefer to Lyft, Uber so we could hang out and have some drinks even afterwards.

Any suggestions you can offer on lodging for weekend would be great. Thanks!!

Try the Christiansburg area. Closer than Roanoke. Many hotels anywhere require a 2 night minimum on football weekends. If you haven’t experienced Enter Sandman in person be ready for one of the greatest entries in football.
