Just trying to settle in a bit after a (first-ever! at least not going for myself) trip to the pediatrician...
Caleb Farley will be back on defense for the time being. Joe Kane will play on the offensive line to start his career. The following players are out or limited in Spring:
I'm not sure what to think about Farley - the switch is for depth/need reasons, but they also had him on offense for a reason before his injury in the Fall. I think Kane's best position is DT, but the staff doesn't see it that way for now. I wonder if a bit of time in a college strength and diet program will see him end up back on D (he tried to bulk too quickly last Summer to be a DT in college, and it cost him some of his quickness).
Hazelton is the only semi-surprising spring absence: he's probably going to be a contributor this Fall, so not having him for this important phase of the year may hinder that or at least prevent him from being quite as impactful though he gets the same amount of playing time.
I'll have more to come when I digest the notes that the program sent me.
