Maybe they have been doing this before and I didn't notice, but I saw a picture of the team coming into the field and one of the defensive players is carrying a sledge hammer! I guess that is their version of the infamous Hokie Lunch Pail. I'm sure that a UVA player carrying a sledgehammer strikes fear in the hearts of the opposing team!
