Merritt has not been in the best shape, but there is no questioning how effective he is on the field. His strong punch, lateral quickness and ability to drive defenders off the ball is very impressive for a player his size. Florida, Auburn and Virginia Tech look like they are in the best position with Merritt for now, but he has yet to set up any official visits. -- Friedman -
