Hokies had a visit canceled for later this month (see Gorney's thread below), so unless the emergency Dead Period ends as-scheduled, a decent chance he won't make it to Blacksburg before his choice.
There was never a whole lot of traction here, especially when the Buckeyes were already in the mix before the Hokies even showed attention. Certainly the Hokies shouldn't plan their recruiting around running scared from anyone, but there's also a balance of not throwing out offers where you'll have no chance to land a kid 1) wasting your time evaluating guys to issue lost-cause offers, and 2) making your serious targets think that a VT offer is no big deal because everybody has one.

I would be surprised at this point - even if the virus is contained - if the league even considered trying to shoehorn spring sports into a smaller window.
That's almost certainly the end of the Hokies' postseason hopes:

Assuming the top four in the league make the tournament, and the three postseason-eligible teams (i.e. not Georgia Tech) with winning records make the NIT, assuming that tournament goes on... I don't see many - if any - more teams making it, and the Hokies are almost certainly behind Miami in the pecking order, and maybe Clemson.
