I don't expect VT to pursue after already picking up a couple grad-transfer RBs, but alas.

Offered by VT today as a transfer (Defensive end), after he hit the portal. 24 majors coming out of High School, and originally enrolled at Florida before going to Youngstown State. Had 13 sacks last year, and is 6-3, and about 225 pounds. VT was the first college team to contact him, but expect a lot of competition for him.

The number for 2021 is already at 18 openings. Should be a big class. Can the staff turn on-field success (and a refreshed recruiting staff) into some big lands?

...I held off on posting a couple of these yesterday because it was the Class of 2020's final day (or one of the final days where they get all the pub, at least), but the staff has continued to hit the ground running for the future:

Peter Moore had committed as a potential scholarship player, but the rest have been right in that "does he get an offer that makes him go elsewhere" gray area for some time. As usual, you'd hope that (non-specialist) walk-ons are never needed as contributors:

Not expecting too much action today with the majority of the class signed in December. There are still a couple newer commits to put pen to ink, and potentially some decisions in VT's favor on the way.

Another rough one in a season where those have become all-too common:

Hokies out of answers in blowout loss to Georgia Tech

Alex Fudge of Jacksonville. Fudge is a high academic kid who actually takes classes at a community college in Jacksonville but plays for Lee High School. In last week's class of 2021 rankings update Fudge made a strong move from No. 107 to No. 72.

Fudge is a long, lean wing with tons of potential. A high level athlete, he has perimeter skill including the ability to make shots, and a good handle but he needs to get stronger. He is also a great kid, and I'm not saying that because he tags me in his "offer Tweets" either lol.

I'd say right now Virginia Tech is on top of his list, but that's based on the recency of the visit, and not guaranteed to last once he checks out some of the other schools he's planning to see this Spring:

Not too surprising since they just got involved, but you'd like to be one of those names that sticks in his mind nonetheless:

King played a pretty big role in the offense last year, and with a couple receivers off to FCS programs, it should be an even bigger one in 2020:
