Aside from significant depth issues, it's probably best to get a clean start, given we've seen for a couple years that "giving it his all" is not the same thing as "having the skillset to be a successful Power-5 starter." There's nothing wrong with that (and it's not his fault he was basically the only option left), so hopefully he finds his level and finishes his college career strong.
