Augie's comment hits a point.

"If it weren’t for coach Beamer offering me, I’d probably be at the school up the road and I could count the number of wins over my college career on two hands," he said. "So I can’t tell you how much my scholarship means to me. It’s definitely changed my life for the better. And I’d just like to say thank you and I couldn’t imagine my life without being a Hokie. "

Looks like he made the right choice for himself......lot of kids at UVA that are just as happy with their choice.

Mike London's legacy was promising recruits that the Hoos were on the verge of regaining their stature they had during the George Welch days and some really good kids like Smoke Mizell and Quinn Blanding bought into that. The reality was that London was not a good coach and the team as well as the fans gave up on him. Not sure if Bronco has the goods to turn that losing mentality around. but we'll see. I hope that Becton ,who is probably the best O.L. in the state, sees the light and gets to hear Sandman when he enters the stadium.

Or Basketball...Baseball...Soccer....Lacrosse...Swimming....I guess you get my point, best overall sports program by far.
Agreed. You could put UVa in the conversations as best along with Stanford, Notre Dame, and UCLA I think. Also, UVa won' be down in football for very long. I am sure Bronco will turn it around soon.

Most UVA football players may have had a good GPA and SAT scores coming out of high school, but when it comes to football they are not very smart. If they were, they would have gone elsewhere.

But heck, maybe they just like for their season to end on Saturdays after Thanksgiving and not have to mess with bowl games.
