Some sad news being reported by David Teel on Twitter. Former Virginia Tech AD Jim Weaver passed away last night. He retired in 2013 while continuing to battle Parkinson's Disease.
Weaver was instrumental in developing the Virginia Tech athletic program to where we see it today. His work elevating the Hokies to the ACC as well as upgrading facilities across the board was tremendous.
A sad day in Hokie nation for sure.
