UCLA, WVU, Boise State, and Utah are their four losses. All 4 of these losses were by a total of 8 points. That's not 8 points on average, but literally 8 points difference total among all 4 losses. Their last 3 games, they are favored to win by more than 90% in each of the 3 games in which they will likely finish 8-4. I recall on this board a discussion last year with the hiring of Bronco going to UVA, and whether it was a lateral move or a step back. I wrote that it was clearly a step back. BYU has only had 1 losing season in the last 40 years of football. I recall some fans predicting they would not win 6 games with the schedule they had for 2016 (very tough schedule). At the end of the day, I don't think Bronco made a move up, or a move lateral at UVA. It was a step DOWN. UVA's program is not, and has not historically been as good as BYU's. Even on a year when they have a fairly young football team regarding experienced players (not age) and a tough schedule, they still.......almost always get 8 wins. UVA maybe should have considered whoever the guy is at BYU right now instead of Bronco. 4 pretty good wins for BYU this year have been over Miss St., Arizona, Toledo, and Michigan State.
