Still lots going on here. I've left the current five guys in the transfer portal on the chart (they're still listed on VT's official roster and could very well choose to remain in Blacksburg, though at the very least that seems extremely unlikely with Patterson and Steward):

That leaves one scholarship open now, plus however many from the transfer portal departures. There are a few walk-ons (WR Kaleb Smith, OL Austin Cannon, K Brian Johnson) who will get scholarships if there are any left over, but those are traditionally given out on a year-to-year basis - and the players understand as much - so even though all three were on scholarship in 2019, it's not guaranteed for 2020 unless there's room (even if it's ultimately likely).
