VT ranked 22 in preseason poll

Alabama is 1 and VT 22 in coaches poll, released today. No one else matters.

As usual Big 10 teams are over rated.

That ranking is nice and I hope we end up even higher when the season ends but let's be real.

Yes we do have Bud Foster and his henchmen, but we don't have a brute of a QB that can tuck the ball and run when needed. We have 3 promising kids but no experience. We lost our best 2 receivers and Sam Rogers. And again, our o-line is half rebuilt.

I hope I'm wrong but this could be a rebuilding year.

Well we will see at the end of the year. Take this season one game at a time. I just hope we make a good showing against West Virginia.

And then I see that it's the coaches poll, which historically has ranked us a little higher than the media polls.

I'm guessing we'll be one of the others receiving votes in the media polls.

Yep I think that's exactly what its about and Foster's reputation too. Its a tribute to the respect for our coaching staff, and well deserved too IMO.
