I think you could realistically see six or seven guys hear their names called, assuming we get a normal college/NFL/Draft football landscape in the next year
Frankly, I'm surprised this wasn't the move even before putting his name in the transfer portal (or at least at the same time as doing so). He's a kid interested - above all else - in getting to the NBA. Makes sense to at least give it a go:

As Corey says in the tweet (and as you should remember from last week), Nolley's committed to transfer to Memphis if he doesn't head to the professional ranks.
He plans to take an official visit to Blacksburg, but as we saw with his close friend Anthony Beavers (USC commit) earlier, the Dead Period makes it possible that a number of tentatively-planned visits never come to fruition for some of these kids:
He had a fairly bad senior year (ironically when - or perhaps because - the defense was quite a bit better than the previous year), but he showed in the prior two years that he's an NFL guy. There are success stories from undrafted free agents each year, and he's one that I wouldn't count out to be the next:

Noticed a 4 star UNC guard just entered the portal. Know it is a strength but seems like it be would worth pursuing. Jeremiah Francis is a freshmen point guard who has had injury problems but should be healthy now. Do we have any room?
Pitt is the current favorite, though if the Hokies were pursuing full-go (your mileage may vary as to whether they should be: on a talent perspective, maybe not, to stay on the minds of top players in the 757, maybe), they'd be No. 1 with a bullet:
Hokies had hoped the four-star DE out of Washington State would remain uncommitted a little longer. I certainly wouldn't guarantee that he sticks with UVa, but often guys who are picking a school like UVa (the point is the same in both of those regards: it's a program with limited history of recent success) do so for reasons that persist past one season or one coaching staff, even:

I believe he's also a Mormon, so an LDS coach like Bronco Mendenhall certainly helps make things a little more comfortable, too.
Not much about the Hokies, but with the offer coming quite recently, that was bound to be the case (he's also got a few very-established favorites that the Hokies would have to catch to become a serious player here)
