No VT for the Penn State legacy. Hokies had a chance to remain a factor because he took an early visit, but it's been trending for a long, long time that VT wouldn't be in it until the end:
I will use air quotes around "final," since there's a decent chance he ends up visiting Blacksburg (if visits are possible before the season, at least - we shall see how that plays out with the emergency Dead Period). Still, Anthony Beavers making his USC pledge earlier this week really sapped the VT momentum out of that Cali group.
Immediately eligible. Had great stats as a DE last year for Youngstown State. At 6'3" and 270 lbs. maybe he can switch to DT where we need more help. I remember when our really good DE Jim Davis switched to DT his last year he did very well there. He was 5 lbs lighter too.
More of a back-burner prospect for now, but it makes sense for the Hokies to stay on the list because the more players from his school they're involved with, the better the shot they all visit Blacksburg eventually (including the more-coveted prospects by the staff)
With Tyas Martin in the fold, there are still a lot of good options here (especially at DE). If the Hokies can close on some of them, this could be a special class:
