He's already visited, and comes from just a few miles down I-81. I'd have a hard time seeing him end up elsewhere as long as the staff continues to pursue him. Story coming in a bit.

I'm a little surprised Jafar Williams (who's been pretty successful in New Jersey and Maryland) hasn't been able to get a little more traction in his hometown of Philly, but these things take a bit of time, too.
Not that the staff should focus on negatively-recruiting other schools, but certainly the "stay at home if you want to succeed" pitch (particularly for defensive backs) is one that the Hokies have never lost the ability to sell.
Since we are all cooped up in the house and not on the road as much evaluating and covering events, Mike Farrell and I are doing more videos like the one below.
Here is Mike and I talking about the recent commitment of Latrell Neville.
His lead recruiter from NC State is... Charley Wiles, who was involved in his recruitment here, as well (though the relationship has continued to progress with the new DL coaches since Wiles's departure).
It's good to make these lists, but for this guy specifically (and most guys who are priorities of the Alabamas and Oklahomas of the world) there's still plenty of work to do - he'll be a tough pull:
Both @MFarrell and @Adam Gorney are skeptical that VT can consistently beat out teams from the region (as y'all know, I tend to agree). Getting results here and there is great, but at the expense of recruiting territories that will always be there... it's massively risky, to say the least.
Those who listened to my spot on ESPN Blacksburg last week know I compared him to Michigan's Khaleke Hudson, a guy with similar limitations in terms of versatility... who was still productive enough to be an All-American.
He visited early in the process, but the writing's been on the wall for a while now that either a more-local program or one of the national Big Boys (from a recruiting perspective in Alabama, from an academic perspective in Cal) was going to land him:
TBH, I thought this one was a bit of a speculative offer anyway. Hokies haven't really kept up with Jordan Moore, so not being in the hunt at this point isn't a surprise (nor much of a disappointment):
