VT has one commit inside the top 30. Rudolph comes in at #28. This is absolutely a injustice by the staff of VT. Program was built on keeping in state talent, IN STATE. The excuse of evaluations of kids in state being down or what not is non sense. Recruit them and develop them just like Beamer and company did. I am a fan of Fuente but the lack of in state recruiting is ridiculous.

FYI: Penn State has 5 commits, TCU & LSU have 2. Indiana, Wake, JMU, ODU, ECU, Temple all have one or more commits before you get to VT @ 28.
- Also, UVa is one commit worse than VT. They have zero commits inside the VA Top 30.

Really bright kid, I'd expect him to camp this Summer for an offer:

Rumor is picking up steam on the net. Anyone hear anything? One article thinks its a done deal like Buzz last year. Says they can pay $4 million more than we do.

Joins Joe Kane in there among Hokies so far this offseason (coincidentally both offensive linemen). Along with yesterday's medical retirement from Will Pritchard, the back-end of the depth chart on the OL is thinning out a bit (assuming both Kane and Harris stay in).

Attrition from guys who don't see a path to playing time is a positive sign for program, though it's now quickly getting to a spot where the depth could ultimately become an issue in a couple years.

I don’t worry too much about national awards because they’re often arbitrary in exactly this way, but it’d be borderline ridiculous for him not to win it, much less not be in the final three:

I will also admit: I think they had it just about right. I didn't see his instincts being so good as to overcome a lack of size and athleticism. I was wrong there (and he's also a little more athletic than I'd realized, to boot).

Surfing the prediction sites, it seems today's events, particularly the Bama loss is sending ripples through the different bowl scenarios including ours. Where it appeared we were dead locked to the Belk bowl, CBS now has us going to the Citrus against Bama or another top SEC team. Great matchup if so, maybe too good for us, although I could see Bama not caring now. I would prefer that matchup to the apparent Orange Bowl draw, though.
