DL to visit in June

Defensive lineman Matthew Butler has a long offer sheet. He seems to be closest with coaches at Duke and N.C. State. Tennessee, South Carolina, Penn State, Arkansas, Texas A&M, Alabama, and Virginia Tech are also in close contact with Butler. He has visits to South Carolina and Virginia Tech set for June and will get to Penn State and Maryland in July. Butler doesn't have a decision date set but will take official visits.

Seth LeDay

I'm sorry that I can't provide a ton of information on him, but here's what I think to be the case from talking to a few sources today.

My understanding is that he still has one more semester of junior college that he will need to compete so I don't think he will actually arrive on campus until the middle of the 2016-17 season. Because of that, he'll likely sit out and then start playing as a junior in 2017-18.

Unfortunately, I have never seen Seth play in person. Found some game film on his team website, talked to a friend in junior college scouting and checked in with a JC coach from his region to get a feel for him, though.

He's about 6'6", maybe 6'7" southpaw and has good length and is a pretty explosive athlete. A glider who can run the floor and he likes to attack the rim off the dribble. He is more of a natural slashing small forward but in juco basketball where there isn't a lot of size he plays the four so I'd imagine he's a combo forward type. He's a pretty good playmaker for others off the dribble, rebounds well for his size but isn't considered much of a jump shooter.

All in all he's a late bloomer and without an in person viewing I can't really make a guess at how much impact he will make but I think he's being looked at as an energy guy, rebounder, athlete. Looks like a solid 3-star JC prospect to me.

I do know this, though, when it comes to identifying juco guys that are late bloomers and have upside, Buzz Williams is as good as it gets. He wouldn't take this kid unless he thought he could help.

If truly interested in our opinions

then why did the mods lock there thread that we were expressing our concerns? That tell me that they do not want to here our voice.

Long time members stressed their opinions about what we want to see for the money we are paying to get info from this site. The thread was very quickly locked so that we cannot post anymore about the matter. Wth is going on here. This is very alarming. Don't tell us our opinion matters then quickly lock us out immediately after to keep us from expressing our views.

This site is losing it at a rapid pace. I will give it till the end of the month to see change. This is a BS move.

PSL Extortion

Got a love note from the Athletic Dept that I now have to buy a PSL camo'd as a Scholarship Fund contribution to get any kind of decent seat. 14 years as a loyal season ticket holder, working my way to half way decent seats through at least 2 re-seatings to now have this gun stuck to my head. I am disappointed but not surprised--it was only a matter of time until VT got with the program and squeezed out the final drops. Now, get ready for the next step--major ticket price increase. It was a good run but I can't tolerate this extortion.

Two Good Things

1. I look forward to the day that Va Tech and UVA are both playing top 20 ball and we can really get some good old fashioned derogatory slams going on this board .
2. I also look forward to the day that UNC receives a fair and just decision from the NCAA for their inequities covering almost 20 years of outright academic fraud.
No. 1 I believe will happen.

Hire Bo Davis immediately

somebody sure will

One of the best recruiters in the nation and from all reports, a very good DL coach.

Don't tell him to cheat. No wink-wink or anything. Just tell him to get recruiting results. He will. 4 & 5 star kids - below the BAMA level but higher than we've been.

The formula is simple: if/when he finally gets caught cheating, fire him immediately.

The NCAA is about to set precedent that this act alone will get you off the hook.

Hire him now.
