Penn State Director of High School Relations Dann Kabala. He's close with Pry, and obviously a more-robust recruiting staff is something he hinted at during his press conference yesterday. There's been contact between the parties (though of course, Pry also mentioned being respectful to James Franklin and not totally raiding the PSU staff, as well).

Over the years I've seen awesome highlights from high school prospects against weak teams only to have them lay an egg in college.

But Devin Farrell has impressive highlights in some big games. His fakes and misdirection confused the Ds and he looked like Vick running the ball. He showed touch and accuracy throwing the ball.

Getting under way in about five minutes. Talking staff, spring schedule, etc.

With Wright visiting this weekend for his official, Miller is planning to tag along (and the "let's build some connections" idea here indicates just how serious the Hokies are about doing everything they can to make sure Wright signs).

He's gotten coaches for jobs I didn't know existed. Now let's see if our new staff can coach and recruit.

S.C. QB Jason Brown and Marshall QB Grant Wells want to come to be Hokies.

Both were starters and winners at their old schools. Grant Wells was All-Cpnference Honorable Mention as a redshirt freshman.

Now let's put together the rest of the team. How about some WRs?

I keep reading posters on other sites saying that next year will be a nightmare at VT. Why? With the way the last regime failed to develope players it's hard to tell exactly how much talent is left in the locker room.
There's more raw talent in the OL room than I can ever remember. Bring in a OL coach like Rudolph (hopefully) and the sky is the limit. At VT weve certainly seen alot more with alot less from the Oline. I dont expect anybody in the QB room to be coached into the next Tom Brady but do they really have to be? We have a room full of RBs and at least 2 receivers in Smith and Lofton that have shown promise. Is it really that much of a stretch to see a Payoute, Wright or Lawson have a breakout season? On defense who do we really lose that can't be replaced? William's didn't make that much of an impact and Barno was invisible for much of the season. Waller will be missed but hes replaceable. Next man up, right? Trading JHamm for Pry on defense should be huge.
I dont expect to win the ACC but I think we should be in about every game and be bowl eligible.

This will be our catch-all thread for this purpose, and will go as long as it's necessary/relevant before the 2022 season...

Saw he was granted a 6th year! Great news for OL and depth!

Apparently BB has decided to transfer after participating in practices for the bowl game. Down to 2 scholarship QBs. The timing of this is surprising. Gotta believe there is active movement towards bringing in a QB or 2 from the portal. Maybe Bullock will get an opportunity to play as few options available.
