This is for strictly entertainment purposes. I DON'T think this is likely. But to even be in the position to have this sort of conversation on November 1st is pretty remarkable.

1) Michigan either loses to Iowa AND OSU wins out...OR Michigan wins out. Big 10 non champ needs to have 2 losses. ...........good chance of happening

2) Bama trips once (or doesn't) and wins SEC. This would ensure all SEC non champ teams have 2 losses...............really good chance of happening.

3) Washington loses once in regular season. Gets upset in Pac 12 champ. We need the Pac 12 south to have 3 losses.............really good chance of happening.

4) Clemson HAS to win every game and be the #1 or #2 team in country in ACC championship game

5) Obviously Tech win out and upset Clemson.

6) If this happens which isn't TOO far fetched. It would put the argument: Best two loss conference champ (Acc, Pac 12, Big 12). As well as an at large. Would committee take 2/3 2 loss conference champs OR would it take a 1 loss Clemson or ATM or Louisville.

7) Bottom line is there are multiple ways for VT to be DEEP in the conversation. All we have to do is go 1-0 EVERY WEEK.

This is obviously a pipe dream but to even dream up this scenario in early november is pretty remarkable.
