Just a heads up for all you Hokies out there who will be attending the Battle at Bristol on September 10th, 2016. Stayed at a Campground during race week and was very happy. These people are like family and will treat you well. I asked about the game prices. $100.00 for tent camping, $150-$200 for RV's, pull behind campers, pop-ups. Price depends on how large the RV or camper is. Most are $150. If not camping, car Parking for the day is only $20.00. There are no hold backs on this campground. It has not been leased by BMS. The closest entrance/exit is on Old Thomas Bridge Road. From that exit, it is a little over 1/4 mile to track. Old Thomas Bridge Road comes out onto 11E and is right across from BMS. There is a shower house right across from the entrance/exit on Old Thomas Bridge Road. The campground has Portable toilets all over. If you are camping, fresh water fill up upon entry. They have fresh water trucks and sewage removal trucks. They will be there all night starting Thursday night of game week. Check out their web site www.bristolbestcamping.com
Take exit 69 off I-81. It is about 4.6 miles from that exit on the left. Do not go down Exide Drive. Stay on Highway 394. You can see BMS as soon as you see their sign, Short Cut Parking and Camping!
