Hokies continue to roll with '26 Florida QB's, as Tech recruits state champ Brady Hart

Virginia Tech is hot on the recruiting trail in the Sunshine State.

The Hokies offered Class of 2026 QB Brady Hart, the 6-foot-5, 185-pounder of Cocoa, FL that passed for just under 4,000 yards and 41 total touchdowns as a sophomore, his No. 8 scholarship on Sept. 12. Since then, Tech has been continuing to follow the signal-caller, who is also connected to the program via Baylin Trujillo, the highly-networked quarterback trainer that coaches Noah Grubbs, Hart, and Davi Belfort, a 5-foot-11, 192-pound four-star that is currently committed to Virginia Tech for the 2024 cycle, and prospects across the state of Florida.

He is being recruited by Senior Offensive Analyst Brian Crist to potentially join second-year head coach Brent Pry's offense of the future in Blacksburg.

Obviously it's been a week or so since his entry, but taking a look at what it means:

Fortunately the OL room is in a place where it shouldn't hurt the Hokies any time soon (and if it hurts at all, it's only because Dickson himself develops to the point where the staff will regret having lost him, not because they won't have solid contributors remaining in the lineup).

Second-year head coach Brent Pry and the Hokies instilled confidence in Grubbs when they gave him his first Power 5 scholarship offer, and the No. 33 overall prospect in the nation for the Class of 2026 of Lake Mary, Florida has taken off since on a national scale. More on an early prospect to follow at the quarterback position:

Keontae Bumpers, instate 2026 WR from Kings Fork, reacts to VT offer

Hokie Haven: What is your reaction to the offer from Virginia Tech?
"It was honestly a blessing. I got the call after coming from a work out and when I got the news, it put a smile on my face (just) knowing that I'm making my mother proud to know I'm one of the first to ever do anything like this in my family. My reaction to receiving a full ride scholarship to Virginia Tech was one of overwhelming joy and gratitude. I felt so fortunate to have this amazing opportunity, and I was so thankful for all the hard work and dedication that had gone into earning this scholarship. It was a dream come true."

The interior lineman with 6 offers, including Boston College and Missouri, was recently on campus for a visit to Virginia Tech for their game vs. Pitt on Sept. 29, and the Hokies, who are familiar with the recruiting territory, in Charlotte, should play a factor as they jumped on him early:
