The latest with 5-star K.J. Henry

Story: The latest with 5-star K.J. Henry

Clemson has been the team to beat since the very beginning of Henry’s recruitment and the Tigers did their best to secure the pole position. This was Henry’s second visit to Clemson this season after witnessing the Tigers beat Auburn earlier this year. Virginia Tech and Georgia are the biggest challengers to Clemson and Henry is quietly evaluating the pros and cons between them along with South Carolina and Alabama, the other two teams in Henry’s top five. The Gamecocks will host Henry for his next official visit and they will need to do all they can to make a big impression and move towards the top of Henry’s list. Alabama will get an official visit from Henry before he commits on December 20th.

Fuente Alert #2

ESPNU college sports radio today was discussing the likely openings at Florida, UT and A&M. The broadcasters said that the first call Florida should make is to Justin Fuente’s agent and offer him an insane amount of money.

I also saw where Bronco Mendenhall is the 4th highest paid coach in the ACC. In addition, his buyout is over $9 million! What idiots.

I think Whit needs to be proactive and give coach Fu a raise that gets people’s attention and sends a signal to others that he is not for sale

Shai Mckenzie

Nice talk-up on sports radio this morning referencing "Thunder and Lightning", referring to McKenzie and Yakhee Johnson (Hampton Pirates running backs). Apparently, McKenzie is staying healthy for the first time in his career, and being a very strong inside runner. Good luck to him in the future.
