That "Virginia" (and the UVa logo in the image) is supposed to be Virginia Tech - the turkey emoji and the fact that Virginia hasn't offered Veargis point that out - and the fact that he doesn't even know which schools has offered (this is not an "Alabama University" faux pas) tells you quite a bit about where the Hokeis stand.

Wouldn't expect Veargis to be a take for VT at this point anyway, and this list is basically just trimming the fat of a couple FCS schools and includes nearly all of his FBS offers, so it's not really all that newsworthy to our purposes.

At one point, he looked pretty close to a VT lock. As national attention picked up, he seems to be looking more out-of-region. However, The Hokies should still make this list (even if it's closer to the tail end than it once would have been).

Still think he's almost certainly going to Pitt, but the Hokies are a team that has helped make this interesting, at least.

Monday is one where I don't get the staff's strategy of offering a ton of kids. Unless you're going to put in serious work on this one (which he told me he doesn't really expect), there's zero chance to land him, so why bother with the token offer? Sure, there's no harm in offering a bunch of kids, but I do think there's value in only offering kids you're going to have a chance with.

Picked up the offer, on a visit, comes from an Atlanta-area powerhouse where VT was first to offer a few classmates... some nice pro-VT trends here:
