The WF Assistant had to have kicked himself after VT

For whatever foolish reason, we have the Wake Forest assistant giving away game plans in 2014. It has been acknowledged that one of VTs assistants at the time received the info. Now, here is the real "head scratcher" so hold on.......wait for it, wait for it.......VT LOST the game 6 to 3 in 2 OTs, LMAO!

Can you believe it? The guy from Wake who obviously wanted his team to lose must have been thinking to himself......."man, this has worked with every team I have given the game plans to and we have lost, but with VT, I give them the game plan and we still beat em, what a bunch of dumb as$@$." Folks, you know and I know what that guy had to be thinking after they (Wake Forest) won the game.

Back then, we put up a mighty 3 points and the pregame tips were not enough. In order for us to move the ball, we would have needed more help than just the game plan. We would have needed 10 men on the field each play by Wakes Defense.

How freaking embarrassing is it that Whit has to apologize for a game in which one of our former assistants took the game plan and tips, and when looking back, we still lost the game? You can not make this stuff up? Thank God for Coach Fu being here today!

P.S. I am hoping and have been hoping that the former staff was done, gone from BBurg, and that the damage could begin healing this year and no more damage could be done. Well........here we are, the gift that keeps on giving. The NCAA will say....."VT must forfeit the game." They will soon after realize and think to themselves, "Holy Crap, they actually lost that game 6 to 3, and in order to lose a game in which you have the other teams game plan, you have to have some real dumb as$@$ on staff, so we will leave it at that." LMAO!

Game day!!

Alright guys it's the final countdown!
Can't wait - bittersweet that another season has come and gone.
Overall - extremely proud of his team and how Coach Fuente has made his culture.
Can't help but look forward to next year- we return a lot and have a favorable schedule.
Until then LETS GO HOKIES!!

OK, I have to ask...

As a registered professional sports-talkin' person:

What does everybody think about the "players skipping bowls" phenomenon? Does it rub you the wrong way or do you really not care? See it going away or becoming an even larger trend?

Curious to know what you guys think... I'll share my thoughts a little later.

Belk Bowl

The more I think about it, the more I think VT got shafted. VT was the ACC Runner-Up and gets delegated to the Belk Bowl. We should have gotten a Florida Bowl. I have always though of Belk Bowl as a bowl for 6-6 teams.
Granted, I am not sure of all the bowl tie-ins. But VT deserves a better bowl.

**New** VT has to adjust without Mihota

This is probably the spot on the defensive line with the biggest dropoff in quality (outside of maybe Baron, because even though the DT backups are pretty good, he's the closest thing to irreplaceable up front). However, I do like what Trevon Hill in particular was able to provide this year, even if he's a little too similar to Ken Ekanem in terms of good physical skills but a few too many mental mistakes:

**Tunnel Talk Extra** Positive developments for 2017 four-star

Virginia Tech has engaged in a number of battles with Penn State in the 2017 class, including Indian Head (Md.) Lackey linebacker Nathan Proctor. It seems that some maneuvering behind the scenes in Proctor's recruitment will give VT a big boost in their chance to land the No. 28 OLB nationally.

Penn State has been heavy on Proctor's trail for much of the process, but they're growing weary while they wait for him to make a decision. He's shifted from a priority recruit for the Nittany Lions to one that's a bit more on the back burner for them. Beating a recruit because the competition cooled (regardless of whether that cooling was talent-related or not - and it wasn't in this situation) isn't necessarily the best feeing in the world. It's winning by default, in a way, but "by default" feels far better than not winning at all.

There are other teams in the mix (and with PSU likely eliminating themselves from the competition, perhaps new entrants), including Ole Miss and Pitt, both of which he plans to visit in January. However, an outstanding trip to Blacksburg for the Dec. 9 weekend set this up as a head-to-head between Hokies and Nittany Lions, so VT should be feeling good.

Proctor is an outside 'backer in high school and to the recruiting services, but his 6-3 height and underdeveloped frame could see him wind up a weak side end in college. That's actually his preference and the Hokies' greater remaining need in the 2017 class, so it should play out to he a match made in heaven.
