Question for everyone: Do you believe college head coaches should be allowed ...

to recruit off campus during the Spring Evaluation Period?

The last time college head coaches were allowed to be on the road during the Spring Evaluation Period was the spring of 2009.

Our position, fwiw, is that they should be, given that a college head coach gets essentially one in-home visit with a prospect yet he's responsible for the prospect's actions over the next four-five years.

FYI, this afternoon ...

we're going to debut a new feature you'll see here on Hokiehaven.com periodically throughout the year. It's called Virginia Tech's Most Wanted, profiling the top uncommitted prospects on Virginia Tech's recruiting board. We'll release part one (defense) today with part II (on offense) to come in the coming days.

Also, we've got another feature/series we'll be releasing in the coming days and we'll talk more about that next week.

We hope everyone has had a great week!

PS: David just moved to Blacksburg last week. He's going to be on the road this weekend scouting several prospects. More from his travels next week.

The thread below on hoops sparked a question I had for the board ...

So certainly we will make basketball a priority, as it is important to a number of subscribers who shared that very sentiment with us today.

My question, though, is what is everyone's take on Virginia Tech's baseball program? Next spring would you be interested in baseball coverage, at least in some capacity?

We hope everyone is having a great day! And thank you again for the feedback.
