I started going to Tech games around 1989. I have watched some bad teams and games. I keep hearing from the staff that the culture is changing. Am I missing something? An undisciplined team is a reflection of the Coach. We have a very undisciplined team.
We seem to have one go to WR. The TE Wright looks promising. Lofton seems like he's ready but just disappears at times or drops the ball. Our offence needs to slow the ball down. When we run a quick tempo, It seems like we are punting 30 seconds later. The Defensive needs to rest. Every 4th quarter they looked gassed. Our offensive line is pedestrian at best. Our O-line guru needs to step it up. Players look to have gotten worse since he was hired. We have more talent on the defensive side of the ball. I feel the offence needs to pull their weight more. The OC reminds me of Stinespring.
This next incoming class looks to offer more of the same. I am disappointed in Pry's first recruiting class. He was touted as great recruiter. Time to show it. Land at least one big get. Several other first year coaches have better classes. Fuente brought an ace up his sleeve his first class. I guess that's asking too much of Pry. Year one and Penn State still owns 3 of the Top 5 recruits in the commonwealth. VPI best recruit in state is 13th. Coach Pry held a team meeting when he took over. He said, "No one came here to go 6-6." Which brings me to my next question who would want to come and play for a team that is 2-10? How many current players will hit the transfer portal come December? Each loss seems to move the timeline to relevance further back. I was thinking 1-2 years for the rebuild. Now 4-5 years. I could have this all wrong. I hope so. e
