Tennessee has to be the favorite here - and he hasn't been to /Blacksburg in some time, which isn't a great sign - but VT is in it until the end:

Honestly, we're still at a phase in the build of this program where a kid from out of the traditional recruiting areas including VT in a final five (with the defending champ, two SEC schools including the hometown program, and Notre Dame for a kid who goes to a Catholic school) is still a sign of positive growth.
Should have gotten this up a little earlier, but... NC State halftime lead on Virginia. That would certainly make the next game a little easier should the Hokies manage to win this afternoon.
For a team that should have a lot of questions to answer after the outcome of last season, I actually think the most important questions are also the most obvious ones:
Light on the breakdowns of individual players since we're less than a week removed from last game against these guys, but still some analysis going into tomorrow's game:
Even though VT doesn't have much recruiting history in Iowa, I think there'll be a different chance, given how serious he seems about taking that visit at some point this Spring.
You can bet this changes in the unexpected event VT makes a run to the final (or maybe even semifinal), but for the time being, giving him rest until the NCAA Tournament is the plan:
