2019 Rivals250 QB Sam Howell is picking up more offers this month that any other junior quarterback in the country. Florida, Virginia Tech, Georgia, Ohio State, and Clemson have all pulled the trigger this month and more are coming. Howell will visit UNC this weekend and Tennessee next weekend.

Florida State is perhaps the most meaningful offer to Howell that he doesn’t have yet. New Seminoles offensive coordinator Walt Bell was the first coach to offer Howell when he was the offensive coordinator at Maryland and the two have a strong relationship. An offer from the Noles could be coming soon.

VT one of 3 stand outs for big time OL Jakai Moore

Story: The latest with 2019 OL Jakai Moore

I caught up with 2019 OL Jakai Moore at a camp in northern Virginia on Sunday night. He singled out Penn State, Virginia Tech, and South Carolina as his stand out offers. Moore spoke out his interest in each of those schools and broke down Saturday's visit to Virginia. He really wants offers from Miami and LSU because they are his dream schools.

Moore plans on visiting Penn State for their junior day on Feb. 3. He also plans on visiting South Carolina in March and says he will take an official visit there on April 27th.

As far as Moore's rating goes, expect him to start out as a high 3-star when the 2019 rankings get updated in a month or so.

Just briefly caught up with Jamarcus Chatman

We'll be doing a full interview in a few minutes here, but it's clear that there was nothing more VT could have done on his visit - they knocked it out of the park.

Whether that was enough to land a kid who they barely seemed to be an option for just a couple weeks ago... that may ultimately be a different story (and I won't know until getting the chance to talk at a little more length).
