...to advance to the second round of the competition to play in the Under Armour Game:

They're both in dead heats (and with former VT targets, too). Get your votes in, and make sure you send this story to all your Hokie friends so they can vote as well - there are share links at the top of the story.

KJ Henry pumped for this weekend's visit

The Hokies had better impress him to remain right near the top of the list:

I'll have a couple early visitors lists this week and then my full expected visitors list Friday, but it should be as expected: basically every uncommitted target remaining in 2018 will take an official visit (plus some of the commits), and as always, there should be some underclassmen in the house, too.

Injury (and more) updates from Fuente presser

Basically everybody who has been out (Phillips, Carroll, et al) still listed day-to-day, though the way he talks about it, doesn't seem like any of them will be missing for Saturday's game. Phil Patterson is back to practice after surgery, so it sounds like there's a decent chance he plays this season. Sean Savoy has also returned to the team after mourning the death of his brother back at home last week.

Drake DeIuliis will be a TE long-term, but playing WR right now (a mistake in my opinion - would have been far better to let him redshirt).

VT's game against Duke in two weeks is another night-gamer: 7:20 on the ACC Network (with all the wonderful things about low production value that means).

Syracuse beats Clemson

Or I should say, Clemson lost to Syracuse. I watched this game. Clemson did not come ready to play. They did not look like a ranked team, much less the #2 team in nation.

This game was another example of why Syracuse should have never been invited to ACC. The Carrier Dome is tough place tp play. VT, Miami and BC should have warned other ACC schools to not vote for Syracuse to enter ACC.
