UNC Game

This one has trap game spelled all over it. Granted, UNC is banged up and has a lot of players out but Fedora will do what he can to rally his troops to dig down and play hard for pride if nothing else.
Tech always seems to find a way to lose a game where they are big favorites to win. Look what happened at Syracuse last year. Hope I'm wrong but watch out..

The latest with Rivals100 OL Rasheed Walker

Story: The latest with Rivals100 OL Rasheed Walker

Rivals100 OL Rasheed Walker has a solid top four of Penn State, Ohio State, Virginia Tech, and Maryland. He has an unofficial visit to Ohio State set for the PSU game next weekend. In the story above and the video linked below, Walker talks about each of his top four schools, when he might take official visits, when he wants to commit, and says that Florida is pushing to get him to take an official visit as well. Walker is dressed up as a Maryland coach in the video because today was character day (part of homecoming week) at his school.

Injury report

Drake DeIuliis questionable (leg injury - wouldn't surprise me if thi was to try to con their way into a medical redshirt, but they already ruined that by playing him in the sixth game of the year for no damn reason)

CJ Carroll and DeShawn McClease both doubtful (Carroll still with the foot injury, McClease with an undisclosed illness). Both would be minor blows - McClease has had mediocre results when he's actually gotten on the field, while there are enough bodies at WR with Cam Phillips apparently healthy that Carroll would be nice, but is not crucial.

Update with 2020 DB Luke Hill

Another kid who doesn't have a ton of offers yet (though VT is on the board), and if he remains a top target way own the line, the Hokies are establishing themselves in a really solid position for him:

This staff is being very aggressive with early offers, especially for in-state/DMV/Carolina kids. That should help them close early on some of them in future classes, and set themselves up to spend more energy going after national elites. It's similar (but probably to a greater degree) to how we've seen the 2018 class play out.

Major 2019 LB has strong relationships with five schools, includes VT

Story: Major 2019 LB has strong relationships with five schools

2019 LB Drake Thomas doesn't give much away when he talks about his recruitment but did mention that he has very strong relationships with N.C. State, North Carolina, Virginia Tech, Clemson, and Michigan. Look for Thomas to take a lot of visits before making any key decisions. More info in the article above.

Luke Tenuta update

I really feel like this is a VT/UNC battle at this point (even though the Hokies were in the door relatively late):

He plans to see West Virginia again - I believe this weekend, actually, though I'm not positive and he wasn't sure when I conducted this interview - which could make the Mountaineers a serious contender, but with multiple visits to VT likely, the Hokies could wrap this one up.

I really like his potential as an offensive lineman.
